CAD/CAM Dentistry
Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Milling (CAM) also known as CAD/CAM is a software that can help patients and dentists visualize the end result of treatment prior to any procedures. 3D images are taken of the smile, and specialized CAD software is then used to allow the dentist to evaluate and plan new treatment. Once the design has been created, the CAM system is used to fabricate the restoration to the exact specifications of the design.
